Dr Chris Ness
University of Edinburgh, is a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow leading a group studying the rheology of dense suspensions via computational methods. Joining Council he hopes to (i) be a champion for ECRs, mentoring rheologists to secure their first academic appointment; (ii) contribute proactively to conference organisation and growing the MWM; (iii) strengthen links between UK and US rheologists by growing the availability and uptake of travel grants.
